Pregnancy and postpartum is full of challenges. At Azalea Mental Health, we believe that accessing mental health care shouldn’t be one of them. We are seeking an independently licensed perinatal mental health therapist to join our work.
Candidates must have experience working with perinatal clients, and will preferably have advanced training in one or more modalities used in the treatment of perinatal mental health conditions (CBT, DBT, EMDR, IPT, etc). Our clients include perinatal (pre conception through 18 months postpartum) women presenting with depression, anxiety, OCD, & PTSD, bereavement and postpartum adjustment concerns.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients (group and couples sessions optional)
Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a variety of mental health concerns.
Maintain current clinical documentation
Experience:
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Independent clinical license required (LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD and/ or PhD)
Maryland license required prior to start date, Washington DC and/or Virginia license preferred
Two years of experience with perinatal women required, PMH-C preferred
One year of psychotherapy experience required
Advanced training in one evidence based treatment for perinatal mental health conditions preferred (CBT, DBT, EMDR, IPT)
Must maintain active malpractice insurance throughout duration of contractual relationship
Must have access to own office space which meets HIPAA minimum standards for tele-health
